'AL FRESCO' BRIGG PUB LICENCE GRANTED

A Brigg pub has been granted a licence to place tables and chairs outside its frontage, to be used by customers.
The Black Bull, 3 Wrawby Street, can set out furniture "immediately in front" on the pedestrian zone paving when it wishes to do so.
It is now licensed for five tables and 20 chairs to be used between 10am and 10pm, seven days a week.
The successful application was made by the Craft Union Pub Company Ltd, which sought approval for al fresco consumption of food and drink.
The licence, granted by North Lincolnshire Council, runs until September 30, 2022 when an application can be made to renew it.
Such applications are covered by the Pavement Licences Coronavirus Amendment Regulations 2021.
These measures are intended to speed up the licensing process for street furniture which businesses want to place 'on the highway' during trading hours.
Among standard conditions allied to these applications are:
Alcohol shall only be served in plastic drinking vessels.
No smoking will be permitted by people consuming food or drink while seated at furniture on the highway.
