A time and other details have now been confirmed for the Brigg Christmas Lights 2021 switch-on ceremony.
Town Mayor Coun Brian Parker will be in the Bandstand, in the Market Place, and press the switch to bring on the town centre illuminations at 6pm on Thursday, November 25. Note - Thursday, NOT Friday as in past years.
This year's switch-on is being arranged to accompany late night Christmas shopping organised by the Brigg Town Business Partnership.
There will be further investment in the Christmas lights by Brigg Town Council to make things even better for the forthcoming festive period.
The authority and the traders' organisation have also joined forces to arrange Christmas Market stalls for November 25, something which the usual volunteer organisation is unable to do on this occasion.
Brigg Blog has already received a few inquiries from people asking who to contact about booking a stall. We have pointed them in the right direction.
A welcome new addition for the 2021 switch-on evening will be a disco and DJ from 4pm to 8pm.
