This weekend will start early in Brigg with two live shows to enjoy on Friday evening (September 10). And they are both free to attend.
Very popular local band The Dirty Pitchers will be performing at the Black Bull, while The Dreams offer comedy cabaret at the Woolpack.
Some people will be looking in at both, at different times, during the evening.
The Dirty Pitchers need no introduction as far as many Brigg people are concerned, having played at various local licensed venues in recent years.
Their Britpop gig at the Bull's rear beer garden, off Wrawby Street, starts at 8pm on Friday. They will be covering songs made famous by Oasis, Pulp, Blur, Stone Roses, Charlatans, Courteeners and many more.
Billed as an International Comedy Cabaret Duo, Ida and Kay - The Dreams - will be entertaining at the Woolpack from 8.30pm.
The Market Place venue tells Brigg Blog: "Everyone is welcome and it’s a free event."
This duo, based in Doncaster, offer a show "that is packed full, including hilarious parodies!"
Friday night's Britpop gig with The Dirty Pitchers forms part of a Best of British Weekend at the Black Bull.
It will continue on Saturday evening with Last Night of the Proms from 7pm, with 'broadcast' music, fun games, charity fundraising and prizes for the best-dressed Brigg Promanaders!
