Saturday football teams from Brigg and Barnetby had a disappointing day yesterday (September 25).
Brigg Town FC exited the FA Vase with a 7-2 defeat away to Prestwich Heys in the second qualifying round. Town were 2-1 down at the interval.
Yesterday's result followed table-topping Brigg's run of victories in ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One.
Brigg Town Development lost 3-1 at Keelby in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier.
Briggensians were beaten 8-0 by visiting Ashby Bowl in EC Surfacing Ltd Challenge Cup round two (a competition organised by the EC Surfacing Scunthorpe & District League).
In Division Two, Barnetby Reserves lost 3-2 away to Messingham United - Greg Brackenbury and Brendan O’Callaghan netting for the Railwaymen.
Barnetby first team's scheduled Division One home game against The Butchers Arms at Silver Street was postponed.
