A newly-formed Brigg football team will be playing on Saturdays in the Scunthorpe & District League next season, from September.
Briggensians Reserves will be taking part in Division Three, with their first team moving up to Division One.
There were only two sections last season but the welcome admission of EIGHT new sides has made three sections possible for this competition which will be celebrating its 100th anniversary.
Briggensians fielded a reserve side for some seasons, but not latterly.
The club played at Sir John Nelthorpe School (pictured above) but has latterly been using North Lincolnshire Council's Brigg Recreation Ground for its home fixtures.

Division One: Barnetby United, Limestone Rangers, The Butchers Arms, Scotter United, College Wanderers, Baltic Boys (moved up a division), Manor Park CF (new team), Briggensians (moved up a division).
Division Two: Ashby Bowl, Crowle Colts Development, New Holland Villa, Crosby Colts, Barnetby United Reserves, Limestone Rangers Reserves, Beckwood Rovers (new team), Messingham United (new team).
Division Three: Scotter United Reserves, Santon, Briggensians Reserves (new team), Ashby Park Rangers (new team), Appleby-Frodingham Reserves (new team), Gunness & Burringham (new team), Gleny's (new team).
Lee says that divisional cup competitions, run on a mini-league basis, will supplement the league fixtures.
The league recently held its annual general meeting when the format was agreed by member clubs and officials.
Over many years there was a gradual decline in the number of local Saturday football teams, so it's very encouraging to see eight newcomers joining up for 2021/22.
Brigg Amateurs FC fielded three Saturday teams in various divisions for some years in the 1980s.
