BRIGG PUB WATCH APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN, OUR EARLY MAY BANK HOLIDAY REVIEW REVEALS

A new chairman has been appointed by Brigg Pub Watch, representing local licensees.
We can announce Andy Noon's elevation to the top post today when Brigg bars are expected to receive an influx of customers on the Early May Bank Holiday.
With many people being off work, there's an opportunity to visit licensed premises for outdoor 'table service' now being permitted by the Government which has relaxed one of its Coronavirus emergency measures.
Andy, who is landlord of Wrawby Street's Black Bull has taken over as chairman now Sarah Ryder has left the Woolpack, in the Market Place, to run a village pub near Boston in the south of the county.
Many pub visits today will be made during late morning and through the afternoon, though most bars will remain open in the evening.
After the sun goes down and the temperature dips, some customers are taking blankets with them at present to guard against the cold.
On Saturday, they were joined by one forward-thinking person who took a small duvet along!
We've just endured one of the coldest Aprils on record; hopefully things will now warm up considerably in May.
