BRIGG TOWN CENTRE TO GET NEW LOOK WITH THE HELP OF OLD PICTURES
Historic pictures of Brigg will be displayed on some empty shop fronts to brighten up the town centre - courtesy of a new project.
Coun Rob Waltham told Brigg Town Council's latest meeting that the fronts of some vacant shops looked unattractive.
Welcoming the new initiative, Coun Penny Smith said neighbouring Caistor had done this well in its Market Place, while Town Mayor Coun Riggall noted that Immingham had done something similar.
Brigg Town Council agreed to establish a shop fronts project with a budget of up to £1,000.
Contact is to be made with some people in Brigg who may have old images they are prepared to see displayed.
Brigg Blog expects there will be full consultation with shop owners about this project, in due course. So far there is no indication which premises might feature.
