A riverside area suitable for picnics is to be established by Brigg Town Council.
It will overlook a quiet stretch of the Old River Ancholme - opposite Glanford Boat Club's Island Carr base.
New 'anti-vandal' benches made from recycled plastic are to be installed, together with litter bins. It's intended to make this area "lawn-like" and attractive so people make visits.
Hopefully, all will be in place for when the warmer weather returns next Spring.
Our picture shows the proposed site, with the Ancholme Valley Way cycle way and footpath to the right, the old towpath in the centre and the boat club on the far side of the river.
