THE 'DUNDY' BROTHERS OF BRIGG: BIG RESPONSE TO OUR POST ABOUT THIS BIG FAMILY

Brigg Blog's recent post about the history of Hawthorn Avenue - home to the 11 Dunderdale brothers - has been viewed 1,100 times, with more expected to follow.
Kindly shared by other people on Facebook, the article has generated some nice comments about the boys (now men) and their family.
Thanks again go to Dave Dunderdale for kindly permitting us to use a picture from the past featuring him and all his brothers (seen above).
We are now hopeful that other pix of the 'Dundy' Brothers as boys growing up on Hawthorn Ave will be coming our way to share with blog followers at a future date.
When sitting down to pen the original piece, we could not recall who lived in the adjoining property, part of which the council borrowed to make more room for the Dunderdales. Jack (John) Boston was his name, we have since been informed.
The loss of Hawthorn hedging adjoining the avenue and mentioned in our article has also promoted some comments. It acted as a windbreak and also provided shelter for wildlife, Brigg Blog has been reminded.
