Local people keen to act as extras are wanted for a zombie film to be shot in Brigg town centre.
Details have now been released through North Lincolnshire Council - solving a mystery for Brigg Blog.
During the Town Council's last meeting, brief reference was made to the receipt of an email informing the authority about planned filming "in the middle of Brigg."
Coun Ann Eardley raised the question of extras being needed, and it was stressed that the film-makers would be cleaning up after they finished. No further information was forthcoming, other than Coun Rob Waltham, the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, might be meeting the film-makers.
Councillors then switched tack to discuss Brigg Horse Fair 2020.
FROM NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL
The walking dead will be descending upon Brigg for the making of a zombie film and a call has gone out for local people to take part.
Film company Chicken In A Graveyard are creating a short horror film to be screened at festivals and film clubs.
Some of the filming will take place at the top of Wrawby Street in Brigg – and they need local talent to act as extras.
The parts are unpaid, but all costume and make-up will be supplied. Some extras may be asked to take part in the main filming, which is taking place at a location to be confirmed.
Filming is taking place in Brigg on 18 October from 5pm and aspiring special effects artists and costume designers are also encouraged to get in touch to help take part on the day.
To get involved, please email chickingraveyard@gmail.com
Zombies need to submit an audition tape of their ‘best zombie’, with the subject ‘Undead Audition’ followed by their name.
Anyone wanting to help with costume or make-up needs to put ‘Undead Makeup and Costume’ followed by their name in the subject heading, and include examples of their work.
Participants must be over 16, and under 18s will need parental permission.
Deadline for auditions and submissions is 13 September.
