BRIGG BLOG ASKED TO POST COMPLETE LIST OF LOCAL FOOD OUTLETS OFFERING HOME DELIVERIES
Brigg Blog has received a very good suggestion by email from one of our local readers: Publish a complete list of local food outlets that are now offering home deliveries during the Coronavirus emergency.
We would love to do this - free of charge - as a service to the community, but informed our correspondent that so far only two businesses have contacted us directly with details.
The Jolly Miller at Wrawby asked Brigg Blog to mention its Sunday lunches and pizzas available on other days, while the Laundrette on Elwes Street, requested we mention its service washes.
Other home deliverers we've mentioned so far have resulted from us spottting notices in shop windows or spotting posts on social media.
Business proprietors are welcome to email scoopfisher@aol.com as we look to comply with our correspondent's request to post a more comprehensive list.
Ahead of that, we can give one update: Andrew Devai, proprietor of the Snack Shack, is now taking orders for delivery. He served burgers and other fast food fare from his mobile catering van in the Dying Gladiator pub's beer garden until the government ordered the closure of all hostelries across the UK. He's now making deliveries in the Brigg area. Contact Andrew Devai through Facebook with requests.
Our recent post about butcher Steve Mundey introducing a delivery service had 400+ 'views' so it might well be worth other businesses dropping us an email.
We'll look to keep you posted!
