These pictures were taken at the end of the second weekend of a major Brigg railway project to replace the old gated level crossing with modern lifting metal barriers.
There will be another road closure in place on the A1084 where Bigby Road meets Bigby High Road this weekend, motorists should note.
It is scheduled to last from 9pm on Saturday (March 28) through to 2pm on Sunday (March 29) and involve the barriers tested.
The three-week Network Rail project began on March 14/15 and has seen temporary traffic lights in place between the road closures.
Once the modern replacement enters service it will no longer be necessary for all trains to observe a walking pace speed restriction that applied over the gated level crossing in its final months before removal.
Sadly, for various reasons, the Brigg line is not seeing much traffic at present.
The wooden Victorian era signalbox beside the crossing has been retained.
Pictures taken late afternoon on Sunday, March 22, 2020.
