WHAT'S UP, DOC? BE-SPOKE ADVICE AVAILABLE AT NEW BRIGG 'CLINICS'
Brigg is about to welcome the arrival of a new doctor, but he does not come on the National Health.
This specialist's surgeries will offer a BE-SPOKE service - only for cyclists.
Brians Cycles - located within the long-established Brians DIY store on the corner of Wrawby Street and Grammar School Road South - is introducing Dr Bike.
Coming soon, the 'Bike Doc' will be available on the first and last Wednesday every month, offering a free consultation service to locals who are keen to keep their cycles in good order. It's 'no' to punctured lungs but a definite 'yes' to punctured tyres!
Brians explains: "We will check your bike's gears, brakes, chain wear, tyres and inflate your tyres if needed."
Should your cycle fail to get a clean bill of health in the check-up, any work that needs doing "will be charged at a special Dr Bike rate and parts will be charged at the recommended retail price."
The Dr Bike service launches towards the end of February. Send a Facebook message to Brians Cycles to book a session or pop into the premises in person.

One valuable thing I learnt from my Granny Turner was a quick way to check the general condition of my bike. Lift it uo and using a controlled drop, drop it from a height of about 6inches.
ReplyDeleteA lot of rattling suggested things were loose and needed tightening...to an extent this worked well..and during the general pricess one noticed other things that needed attention.
