STORM DENNIS WEATHER WARNING FOR NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY AND TOMORROW
The wind picked up and Storm Dennis duly arrived in Brigg early this afternoon (Saturday, February 15).
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain across North Lincolnshire.
It gave a bad weather update today "to extend the warning eastwards across a larger chunk of England."
The yellow warning for the east of England covers the period from 12:00 Saturday to 21:00 tomorrow (Sunday).
Some commentators in the UK are suggesting that Storm Dennis will not prove to be as severe as Storm Ciara last weekend when high winds brought down a number of fences and trees, including the one pictured above on Sunday along Birch Avenue, Brigg, by local resident Ken Harrison.
Tree surgeons also cut down some silver birch trees just outside SJN in Grammar School Rd the day after the silver birch fell down in Birch Ave.
ReplyDeleteIt would appear that the trees were in a dangerous position to warrant felling.
