TICKETS NOW ON SALE IN BRIGG FOR VE DAY CELEBRATIONS
Details of a major event to be held in Brigg to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe) have now been released.
The Mini Big Horns Band, offering sounds of the 1940s, will play during the VE Celebrations at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court, on Friday, May 8, 2020 from 7.30pm..
Tickets costing £5 are now on sale and the club is forecasting they will soon sell out - so don't delay in applying.
Everyone is welcome and there will be a buffet; people attending are very welcome to "dress up" in 1940s attire.

Brigg Blog hopes that Wrawby Street's now familiar landing craft flower bed display near Wetherspoon's White Horse pub, the China Garden takeaway and the A18 will be kept in place for the VE Celebrations in May.
Erected in June 2019 for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in northern France, it was expected to be a temporary feature.
It helped to impress judges from a prestigious competition when they marked Brigg in Bloom last summer, remained in place for Remembrance Sunday in November and is still with us today.
The landing craft was created in wood by a local craftsman, specially for the flower bed which is passed daily by thousands of motorists. View full details here...
Meanwhile, North Lincolnshire Council has established a £14,000 fund to community groups across the district so they can arrange VE Celebrations in 2020. Applications are now being invited.
