ANNIVERSARY OF BRIGG PUB'S PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

A popular Brigg pub and its customers have every reason to raise a glass or two and celebrate an anniversary.
It's 15 years since the Yarborough Hunt - having been launched in its current guise - won an award from the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) and English Heritage.
There's still a plaque on display in the bar marking the coveted Pub Design Award 2005.
The Yarborough Hunt was originally a small ale house - latterly run by the Bell family - but  it closed in the mid-1960s.
The picture above was taken in the 1970s when the hanging pub sign had been removed, although its wall fittings were still evident.
Following extensive building work, the Yarborough Hunt pub eventually took its place on Bridge Street, specialising in real ales from the pump.
It has taken in a neighbouring shop (seen on the right of the picture above) and the house on the other side, to add more floor space.
