The newest eatery in Brigg says that, due to demand, it has "squeezed in" a big paella night today (Thursday, December 12).
Pop in at La Finca - on the ground floor of the Angel building in the Market Place, adjoining the Cafe Courtyard - or message La Finca Brigg without delay on Facebook to see if any places are still available.
La Finca is a Spanish-themed restaurant, offering tapas and paella. It's proving very popular.
The Woolpack has asked Brigg Blog to mention that the Betty Swollox Band will be performing rock and roll favourites at this Market Place venue on Saturday (December 14) from 9.15pm. This group should attract a good-sized audience.
The locally-based Jerry Green Dog Rescue charity will be hosting a Jingle Ball at the DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort, Ermine Street, Broughton, on Friday, December 13, from 7pm, with a festive-themed two-course dinner. Live entertainment will be provided by female vocalist Charlie Rose, and there will be a disco. Tickets cost £22 and can be obtained via www.jerrygreendogs.org.uk Jerry Green's recently opened a charity shop on Springs Parade, Brigg.
Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns Clubhouse will be holding a children's Christmas party on Sunday, December 15, from 4pm to 7pm. Children's tickets cost £2 - adults admitted free. Santa will be in his grotto, with presents for the youngsters, and there will be a buffet and disco. Call in at the clubhouse to book tickets.
Brigg folk willing to travel to Normanby Hall Country Park can enjoy a new three-day Christmas market with a traditional theme this weekend. The venue is welcoming the Travelling Christmas Historical Market for the first time on Friday (December 13), Saturday and Sunday. Traders dressed in authentic historical clothing will be selling handmade goods including leatherwork, jewellery, baskets, candles and traditional food and drinks.
"With an historical atmosphere, handmade bespoke gifts and live music and entertainment, visitors are guaranteed to get in the festive spirit," says a spokesperson for North Lincolnshire Council

The Travelling Market coincides with the popular Christmas Market at Normanby Hall on Sunday (December 15) featuring more than 70 stalls selling great local crafts and produce.
There is a £4 car parking charge or display your Normanby membership card, if you have one.
