EIGHT EVENTS COMING UP IN BRIGG & DISTRICT OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS
Brigg Live Arts is presenting The Pat McCarthy Quartet - featuring Shannon Riley - on Friday, November 22 in the Angel Suite (doors open 7pm). A licensed bar will be operating and tickets - costing £10 - are on sale at Brigg Tourist Information on the ground floor of the Buttercross, in the Market Place. They can also be reserved by calling 07716 126982.
Simon Reeves will be singing songs made famous by Elton John and Jackie Wilson - plus others - when he appears at the Britannia Inn, Wrawby Street, on Friday (November 22) from 8.30pm. Free admission - all welcome.
Shawn Dean is singing hits from the last six decades at the Lord Nelson, Market Place, tonight (Friday).
Local performers Rachel Day and Mash (Ian Baxter) will be at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court, on Saturday (November 23), from 8.30pm. Free entry.
Saturday night also sees Charlie Rose singing at the Woolpack, Market Place, from 9pm, with free admission.
On Saturday (November 23) the monthly Brigg Farmers' Market will be held in the town centre, from 9am until 3pm, accompanied by stalls forming the general market. In attendance will be Brigg fundraisers from the Pancreatic Cancer Action charity. Today (Thursday, November 21) is World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day.
A Winter Wonderland in aid of local charities will take place on Saturday (November 23) at Hibaldstow Village Hall, Station Road, from 11am to 4pm, with tombola, funfair rides, Santa’s grotto, Santa’s letterbox, tea/coffee, crafts, wax melts, bath bombs, games, raffle, Yorkshire pudding wraps, crepes, sweets and balloons.
A Sister Blanchard Foundation for Cancer Research UK charity fundraiser, known as The Winter Sparkle, will be held on Sunday, November 24, from 2pm to 5pm, in the Eighteen 57 Restaurant at Forest Pines Hotel, Broughton, with Christmas gifts and stocking fillers, books, lucky dip, tombola, raffle, cake stall and refreshments.
