Brigg Town Football Club secured a fine 3-0 victory at Parkgate (Rotherham) in ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One yesterday (Saturday, October 5).
The goalscorers were Jason Pembleton (penalty) in the first half, and Tom Pearson and Ryan Thompson in the second.
This welcome win lifts the Zebras to 14th place with six teams now below them in the table. And Town have games in hand on some of those sides.

While down at the Rec yesterday we also watched some of the Brigg Hockey Club teams in action on the 'Blue Astro' pitch, with details and pictures to come on Brigg Blog later this week.
HONEST LAWYER v BARNETBY: HILL HITS HAT-TRICK AS RAILWAYMEN REMAIN ON TRACK
Cameron Hill hit a hat-trick which was added to by Will Hartley and Jake Parker strikes to maintain The Railwaymen’s 100% start to the league season at the Co-op ground (Scunthorpe).
His opening goal, a left footed strike into the near post, separated the sides at half time but the 1-0 scoreline could easily have read 3-3 as both sides spurned glorious chances in an ended to end game.
The second half saw Barnetby coming down the hill on a pitch turned 90 degrees from last season and Hill’s second of the game eased the pressure on the Barnetby back line.
This was followed moments later by Will Hartley’s first goal since the 2017-18 season. A barely believable stat as this was his 159th goal for the club!
Zak Kelly capitalised on over playing at the the back from Barnetby to bring his side back into the game with 10 minutes remaining to reduce the deficit.
This spurred Barnetby on again and Parker broke through to make it 4-1 and Hill rounded off the scoring with his 127th strike for the club to make it 5-1 and complete the Railwaymen’s best start to a season since the last century.
