BRIGG TOWN v NORTH FERRIBY: HOPES OF 500-STRONG CROWD ON NON-LEAGUE DAY 2019


Brigg Town Football Club have an attractive home game coming up on Saturday (October 12) at the EC Surfacing Stadium (The Hawthorns) and is hoping to attract a crowd of 500 which will be the highest of the season.
The Zebras host North Ferriby in Tool Station Northern Counties East Division One (3pm KO).

Admission costs £5 (adults), £3 (concessions) with no charge for the under 16s.
North Ferriby - currently seven places above Brigg in the table - are well supported, and some of their fans will be making the relatively short trip over the Humber Bridge to watch this fixture which will be accompanied by a Brigg supporters' penalty shoot-out competition.
Town are fresh from a tonic 3-0 away victory last Saturday, while Ferriby's latest outing saw them win 5-0 at home.
With a sizeable crowd expected for Brigg v North Ferriby, Pips Kitchen should enjoy good trade for its meals and snacks.
Temporary boards promoting this facility were visible on Wrawby Road and at the nearby Recreation Ground last Saturday.

Pips Kitchen will also be opening during midweek matches for the remainder of the season.

Saturday, October 12 is National Non-League Day 2019. This "provides a platform for clubs to promote the importance of affordable volunteer-led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their local non-league side." Non-League Day 2019 is supporting Prostate Cancer UK.
Elsewhere on Non-League Day...
In the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League, Division One leaders Barnetby United visit Epworth Town Colts Blues, while Barnetby United Reserves host Scotter United Reserves in Division Two at the Silver Street Ground (3pm).
Briggensians journey north from Brigg to take on New Holland Villa in the first round of the Johnsons Transport Ironstone Cup (2.30pm).
Hockey matches on the all-weather pitch at the Recreation Ground on Saturday (October 12) involve Brigg Ladies' 2nds (12.30pm start), the Men's 2nds (2pm) and the Men's 4ths (3.30pm).

Don't forget that Sunday (October 13) sees the major Ancholme Head 2019 rowing event taking place on the River Ancholme, organised by Brigg-based Ancholme Rowing Club. The races start at 11am and 2.30pm.
