BRIGG EVENT WILL DRAW PEOPLE INTO THE TOWN

One of the main early autumn sporting events in Brigg for many years has been the Ancholme Head.
The 2019 rowing event will take place on the River Ancholme on Sunday, October 13, with races starting at 11am and 2.30pm.
Ancholme Rowing Club, with a boathouse off Manley Gardens, Brigg, is organising the event which attracts scores of competitors (male and female) to the town from clubs across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the Midlands. Local rowers will also be taking to the water.
Spectators turn out every October to support this long-established event.
With many people coming to Brigg on Sunday, October 13 there's an opportunity for local businesses to enjoy a boost in trade, particularly those offering food and drink.
Most visiting competitors and spectators arrive early in the morning and stay until late afternoon.
