£7K AWARDED IN BRIGG GRANTS
Brigg Town Council has agreed grants totalling more than £7,000 to help local causes.
The money was allocated at the authority's September meeting in the Angel Suite Lounge, following four applications for assistance.
Brigg in Bloom: £2,600 for watering the plants.
Brigg Arts and Culture Centre: £2,000 for 200 chairs. These will be used by the audience attending events at the centre within Sir John Nelthorpe School's Grammar School Road premises. Phase one of the project has already delivered sympathetic restoration of the Old Library, part of the original 17th century school building.
Park Run: £1,500 for event and technical equipment. A weekly 5k walk/jog/run is to be held on Saturdays from 9am, using the new Ancholme Valley Path in Brigg. From underneath the A18 Ancholme Way Bridge, participants will head north for 1.25k, turn around and head back to the bridge, then repeat the loop.
North Lincolnshire Music and Drama Festival: £200 + VAT for banners and stickers.
