BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALLERS KICK OFF NEW LEAGUE SEASON THIS WEEKEND

Brigg Town Football Club kick off a new season with a home game at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns) tomorrow (Saturday, August 3).
Promoted to Northern Counties East Division One after finishing Lincolnshire League runners-up in May, the Zebras host East Hull (3pm).
Some ground improvements have been undertaken by local volunteers during the close season, and Brigg have played a number of friendlies in readiness for the 2019/2020 campaign.
East Hull - based in the city - were previously known as East Yorkshire Carnegie.

Saturday's admission prices are: adults £5, concessions £3, under-16s free.
There are 20 teams in NCEL Division One this term, including Winterton Rangers.
Brigg's first away game will be on Saturday, August 10 when they visit Retford FC.
In the League Cup first round, Brigg have been handed an under-lights home tie against Bradford-based Campion on Wednesday, September 25 (7.45pm KO).
Brigg have also received a home draw in the FA Vase first qualifying round and will host Armthorpe Welfare on Saturday, August 31.
The Zebras - founded way back in 1864 - have won this famous national trophy on two occasions.
