BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALL & CRICKET HOME MATCHES TO ENJOY

There's a double bill for sports fans in Brigg to enjoy this Saturday (August 17).
Brigg Town Football Club host Winterton Rangers in a local derby at the EC Surfacing Ground, while Brigg Town cricketers entertain Nettleham 2nds at the Rec.
The cricket match begins at 1pm, giving spectators an opportunity to watch the early stages before making the short walk to the Hawthorns for the football kicking off at 3pm.
They can then return to the Rec to watch the cricket match which, depending on the scores, could go on until 7pm.
Brigg Town FC have made a mixed start to their first season back in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One, winning their first game well but losing the next.

Having also been promoted, our cricketers have been doing well in Lincolnshire County Cricket League Division Three. But Saturday's game promises to be testing, as fourth-placed Brigg meet a Nettleham side two places above them and pushing strongly for promotion.
Admission charges apply at the Hawthorns but not at The Rec.
Brigg Town FC Reserves, who have taken the place of the club's promoted first team in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier, journey to play Lincoln Moorlands Railway - the reigning champions.
Saturday will also see  Division Two leaders Hibaldstow Cricket Club hosting Caistor 2nds, while Broughton's first teamers make the short trip to Messingham for a Division One fixture.
