BRIGG SCHOOLS INVITED TO PRODUCE ARTWORK FOR HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY

Brigg is to support a project remembering the Holocaust.
For many years the town has held a Holocaust Memorial Service in January to remember those who perished, and a new Holocaust Memorial was recently installed on the Millennium Green.
Now the Town Council - at its June meeting - decided Brigg should take part in The Project for 75 Memorial Flames on Holocaust Memorial Day 2020.
This will mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
It will feature 75 artworks from around the country to be displayed at the UK Ceremony.
Brigg Town Council is to contact local schools to take part, as they did in designing the memorial on the Millennium Green (pictured above).
Artworks will need to be submitted to the organisers by mid-October.
