LIVE MUSIC WILL BE A FEATURE OF THE NEXT BRIGG FARMERS' MARKET

Brigg Farmers' Market and adjoining general Saturday market stalls

Live music is to be provided at Brigg Farmers' Market on Saturday, May 25 to entertain the shoppers.
North Lincolnshire Council is now taking part in Love Your Local Market Fortnight which ends on May 30, and is hoping to attract additional stallholders.
During this period, Brigg will see Thursday and Saturday general markets and the monthly farmers' market on the 25th.
Also involved in the council's worthy initiative are the new St John's Market in Scunthorpe town centre and the one on Ashby Broadway.
Coun Rob Waltham, from Brigg, the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, says: “Markets are at the heart of our communities and we’re joining the Love Your Local Market campaign once again to showcase our fantastic market offer in North Lincolnshire.
“St John’s Market only opened a couple of months ago but has received overwhelming support from local residents and is bringing in visitors from out of our area to shop in Scunthorpe town centre.
“Ashby Market also continues to thrive after we invested in relocating it into the centre of Ashby just over a year ago, and the Market and Farmers’ Market in Brigg bring in visitors from across the region.
“As people are becoming more aware of the impact our shopping habits have on the environment, shopping locally and supporting our market traders is a fantastic way to shop sustainably.”
Those interested in starting their own business and taking up a market stall can also get advice and guidance from the council's Business Support Team during Love Your Local Market Fortnight.
