FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF BRIGG PUB CLOSURE DRAWING NEAR

Brigg pub the Nelthorpe Arms served its final pint in May 2018.
The first anniversary of the Bridge Street hostelry's closure is coming up on May 27, 2019.
The final night at the Nelthorpe - a Sunday - saw a big crowd in attendance to say farewell.
Brigg Beer Festival 2018 had been held a couple of weeks earlier in the Nelthorpe Arms Barn behind the premises.
The main pub building has since been turned over to purely residential use.
A further planning application - currently under consideration by North Lincolnshire Council - is seeking permission to build some houses in the former beer garden beside the pub.
The beer garden used to be a favoured spot for many people attending Brigg Bike Night on Bridge Street.
Here's a selection of pictures showing the Nelthorpe Arms that will bring back a few memories.
The pub started out as The Greyhound before a change of name in the 19th century.
It's closure last year was put down to economics; the owners said it was no longer viable as a pub.
Many hostelries have closed across the UK. Sadly for those who like a drink or two, there will be more to come.
