Brigg is the place to be on Saturday, May 11th.
Starting at 10.00am with the bells of St John’s Church ringing, the bunting flying and the extended craft market in the streets, the scene will be set for Brigg Live Arts Fest 2019 and what promises to be an amazing day.
The theme for this year is 'melodies and harmonies' and visitors will be able to enjoy live music and singing in various venues around the town which also includes a concert showcasing the musical talents from Sir John Nelthorpe School.
Buskers are very welcome and can call at the Information Stall to get a spot.
There will be plenty of things for all ages to see and do with special activities for younger people.
Look out for the programme in shops, salons, cafes, pubs and the Tourist Information Centre so that you can plan your day or visit the Brigg Live Arts Information stall in the Market Place on the day.
The Finale will start at 2.00pm in the Market Place when the fantastic Ancholme River Jazz Band will be performing.
Join in the fun by wearing your most colourful clothes, bringing your brightest umbrella and have a go at shuffling, New Orleans Style to end the day.
Brigg Live Arts want to make a memory and capture the colourful scene from The Angel balcony so make sure you’re there to get in the picture.
NF adds: There's free entry to many of the events. However, the organisers say a donation will be very welcome if you've enjoyed yourself. Further information and tickets for events to which they apply can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre in the Buttercross. Call 07716 126982. Be sure to obtain the colourful leaflet giving full details of what's on offer, with venues and times.
