Three groups in the Brigg area have been awarded money by North Lincolnshire Council from its community grant fund, in the run up to Christmas.
Barnetby Community Club gets £500 towards the cost of organising a Christmas party at the Village Hall with entertainment including the winner of the Barnetby’s Got
Talent 2018 contest.
The Kirton in Lindsey Society receives £500 to assist in creating a folk/Spring/May Day celebration of dance and song. North Lincolnshire Council says this kind of celebration happened prior to World War One and the society wants to bring back a family fun day.
1st Scawby Brownies have been awarded £315 for premises hire at Scawby Village Hall.
The council's community grant fund supports organisations that are non-profit making and have social aims.
