Bish Bash Josh as Goodman seals last-gasp win

PICTURES AND REPORT FROM LEE FIELDEN, BARNETBY UNITED

Josh Goodman’s 89th minute winner settled the tightest of contests at Silver Street as Barnetby Reserves made it through to the semi-finals of the Nursing Cup.
They were made to work very hard by a Crosby side that hadn’t come to lie down. Again the back line held firm to keep their side in the game and the pivotal moment came on the verge of extra time when Goodman dropped his shoulder and turned his marker to advance into the Crosby area and seal the tie with a crisp left-foot finish.
Barnetby will meet the winners of the tie between Santon and Scotter United Reserves which will be played next week.
Brigg Town Football Club's tie at Lincoln Moorlands Railway in the third round of the Lincolnshire FA Junior Cup was postponed.
