REPORT AND PICTURES FROM LEE FIELDEN

Barnetby reached their second semi-final in a week following a hard-fought quarter final victory over at home to AFC Queensway.
Goals from Jimmy Mcphee (2) and Ben Hunt saw the Railwaymen reach the semi-finals for the 4th time.
It was Hunt who gave Barnetby the lead on the half hour as he finished off Mcphee’s flick on from a Bradley Cross.
Mcphee had already had the ball in the Queensway net but his effort was ruled out for offside before Hunt put Barnetby in front.
Woeful marking though allowed Queensway back into the game as a free header was planted into the Barnetby goal.
A reshuffle early in the second half saw Lidgett, Frankish and Glentworth introduced and Barnetby gained to upper hand. On 65 minutes United won a free kick and Jimmy Mcphee found the top left hand corner with great accuracy.
Queensway came back into the game and threatened extra time but Barnetby held firm.
A penalty with 5 minutes remaining, duly dispatched by Mcphee for his 2nd, settled the tie and and saw Barnetby through to the semi-finals.
