BRIGG GIG BY THE DIRTY PITCHERS DRAWS BIG CROWD

 

Here's a selection of  Brigg Blog pictures taken during a gig  by local band The Dirty Pitchers on Saturday night (September 8).
We took them at The Exchange as the boys performed Britpop songs and familiar tunes from earlier decades.
There was a big crowd dancing to the music - not all young adults; some were, shall we say,  rather more senior!
It was good to see such a  turn-out at The Exchange, which has a new landlord, Mark Burns (ex-White Hart). Mark and his staff were kept very busy serving thirsty customers.
For those of more advanced years who attended, the busy scene, accompanied by music, brought back memories of Saturday nights spent at this town centre venue decades ago.
The Dirty Pitchers later thanked fans through their Facebook page, saying they  never thought the Exchange would be so full and that they were  humbled by  the amount of dancing that greeted their music.
The Exchange kitchen has now launched a new Thai and English meals menu.

Landlord Mark Burns had his hands full serving customers but had plenty of glasses at the ready.
