HELP SPREAD THE WORD IN BRIGG ABOUT THE NEW EXPRESS BUS SERVICE

Brigg Blog is still hearing about people in the town who are unaware of the new hourly express bus service between our town and Scunthorpe which launched a month ago, on July 2, 2018.
So today we are asking our many followers to help spread the word among family and friends.
Hornsby X4 buses leave Cary Lane on the hour, every hour for most of the day (starting at 8am) and make a direct trip to Scunthorpe's town centre bus station along the A18 via the Lakeside retail park and up Brigg Road, past the steelworks.
X4 buses do NOT go via Broughton or through Ashby High Street and along Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.
The direct route means you can get from Brigg to Scunthorpe town centre in 25 minutes.
The existing No 4 service from Brigg to Scunthorpe via Castlethorpe, Wressle, Broughton, Forest Pines and Ashby High Street is still in operation.
So you can board a bus from Brigg to Scunthorpe every half-hour - X4 or No 4.
There's a different service on Sundays, operated by Stagecoach.

  1. Have to say using the X4 has been great the last couple of times.

    Main issues though are

    1) The lack of a Saturday service. Surely to attract more folk into Brigg a Saturday run would be handy?
    2) The tightness of timing to get the 450 out to the Low Villages. It relies on the driver of the 450 waiting or running late!

  2. Would have been useful if the X4 had gone up Queensway and Ashby Rd to the bus station. This would have encompassed Go Outdoors, Central Park, Brumby Hall, The Pods, railway station, museum, Wetherspoons and the top end of town. Would have only taken another minute or two.
