FORMER BRIGG SPORTSMAN BREAKS INTO SONG

Former Brigg sportsman Fitz Driscoll (above - left) showed his musical talents at the Woolpack pub, in the town centre, on Saturday (July 14).
The one-time star fielder with Brigg Town Cricket Club and former local footballer joined the band during an Elvis tribute number.
Many an opposing Lincolnshire League batsman was All Shook Up after Fitz had pinged in one of his accurate long throws from the boundary so our wicketkeeper could pull off a run out.
Mine host at the Woolpack, Mike Williams, continues his live music shows this Saturday (July 21) when Richard Silvester (guitar and vocals)  will be paying tribute to songs made famous by bands like The Kinks, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, plus many others.
His play list includes Elvis, which might well tempt Fitz to take to the stage again late in the evening.
Richard will be on stage between 8pm and 11.30pm.
All welcome - free admission.
