DESIGNATED DOG WALKING ROUTES IN BRIGG COULD PROVE POPULAR
How about creating some designated dog walks in and near Brigg?
The idea came to us while watching a recent episode in Alex Polizzi's Hotel Inspector TV series on Channel 5.
The proprietor of a rural hotel had a brainwave; she started doing walks for guests and their dogs, taking them outside her village to enjoy the countryside.
We have cycle ways and paths in Brigg (e.g. along Wrawby Road).
Why not create designated routes for dog-walkers, with all-important doggie-poo bins sited at various points?
Many people from the St Helen's Park housing estate head along Churchill Avenue to Brickyard Lane but there are no poo bins on the route.
Is it the same along the towpath/Ancholme Valley Way once you get out of town along the riverbank?
Along Wrawby Road, the cycle and pedestrians emblems on the path have almost worn away over the years and are in need of repainting. So the council could add a dog motif alongside the pedestrian emblem.
Are we barking up right, or the wrong, tree?
there's always a few who don't clean up after their dog no matter how many bins there is.
ReplyDeletethe bin has to be accessible by road hence why there so far apart.
