BRIGG TOWN JUST MISS OUT ON SEMI-FINAL PLACE

Brigg Blog has been away for a few days, visiting family members during a short holiday. We are now back and normal service has been resumed.
Apologies for the reduced coverage in recent days.

Brigg Town Cricket Club lost in a high-scoring away game on Saturday (June 9).
Brigg visited Barton Town 2nds for a group game in the Lincolnshire County Cricket League's Supplementary Cup.
On the well-appointed Marsh Lane ground, Brigg posted an impressive 211 for nine, Matthew Bell, pictured above, hitting 87, Nigel Beacock 40 and Dave Baggott 24.
However, Barton rose to the challenge, winning in the final over - by six wickets, with openers Ian Andrew and Alex Shreeve making 94 and 70 respectively.
This means Barton go through to the semi-finals as winners of Group C.
Brigg finish second in the group, having won two and lost one of their games.
This coming Saturday (June 16) Brigg return to Division Four action with a home game against Louth 3rds at the Recreation Ground (1.30pm start).
