Brigg company AF Carpets is looking to demolish a single-storey office building at the former Trent Food factory site, off Ancholme Way.
It has submitted details to North Lincolnshire Council which will decide whether a formal planning application will need to be submitted, seeking permission to carry out this work.
The building in question (pictured above) is near the Old River Ancholme and described as redundant. "Controlled demolition" is proposed using a JCB.
Meanwhile, work continues to convert the main building on this prominent site close to the A18 (see picture below taken this week).
In 2016, A F Carpets was given planning permission.
North Lincolnshire Council approved change of use from mixed warehouse, office and car sales to mixed retail, warehouse, offices and car sales, including partial demolition.
A F Carpets, of Bridge Street, also successfully applied in 2016 to amend "operational hours" at the Ancholme Way premises to 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday; and 10am to 4pm on Sunday and public holidays.
