REDUNDANT BRIGG SIGNS NEED REMOVING

Brigg Blog has raised this issue several times over a lengthy period but without prompting any action from the authorities.
Many years after they demolished the old primary school on Glebe Road there are still two road signs warning  drivers they are approaching an education establishment.
It's high time they were removed.
You may remember a  recent Government campaign to cut down the number of roadside signs.
Here are two redundant examples whose usefulness disappeared long ago.
North Lincolnshire Council, as the local highway authority, has the power to take the necessary action.
As you can see from the above picture, the motif showing running children has all but worn away on one of the signs.
The Glebe Road school site is now occupied by a housing development, pictured below.

  1. Similarly, the yellow zig-zags in Redcombe Lane....originally designed to protect the entrance to the now demolished Redcombe school site are now moribund and surplus to the needs of the new Vale Academy buildings.
