IMPROVEMENTS TO BRIGG AREA PUB GET THE GREEN LIGHT

A national pub chain has been given permission to offer improved facilities at one of its hostelries in the Brigg area which provides food, drink and accommodation.
An agent acting for Punch Taverns told North Lincolnshire Council it wanted to invest in The Wheatsheaf at 15 Station Road, Hibaldstow.
Punch has now been granted planning  permission to erect a new fire exit and fire escape to the first floor of the village hostelry.
The company described the Wheatsheaf as "a small but friendly establishment offering a small number of rooms to people working and visiting the area."
It added: "Punch Taverns would like to strengthen this in the Hibaldstow area by offering improved facilities suited to safe socialising and provide accommodation to visitors to the area without them having to travel to nearby towns and villages."
