BRIGG TOWN FC NOW JUST A POINT FROM SAFETY

Brigg Town Football Club's first teamers are now just a point away from escaping the relegation zone in the Tool Station Northern Counties East League Division One as the season nears its conclusion.
Having lost 3-0 away to lowly Retford United in midweek, the Zebras bounced back with a 3-2 win at Nostell Miners Welfare yesterday (Saturday, April 14).
Two goals from Jonny Nicholls and another by Jake Crossland did the trick for Brigg, who are now a solitary point behind third-from-bottom FC Bolsover.
The Zebras have played a game more but have a better goal difference.
Retford are two points behind Brigg and have played two more matches.
Brigg have five remaining games in which to secure their place in Division One for the 2018/19 campaign.
On current form this looks achievable.
