BRIGG BLOG'S WEEKEND CRICKET PREVIEW
Brigg Town cricketers have yet to start the 2018 season, but there are games coming up this weekend for members of the Broughton and Hibaldstow clubs.
Tomorrow - Saturday, April 21 - will see them in action in the Lincolnshire County Cricket League (sponsored by Kookaburra Reader). That's weather permitting, of course!
In division two, Hibaldstow journey south to Lincoln to take on Hartsholme 2nds at the Ashby Avenue ground.
Broughton 2nds have a third division home game with Clee Town Laportes at the Scawby Road ground, starting at 1.30pm.
Local cricketer lovers wishing to watch some top-flight action on Saturday might consider making the short drive to Caistor's Brigg Road venue, where Barton Town will provide the opposition (1pm start).
Messingham will be hosting Bracebridge Heath 2nds at the village's Northfield Road ground.
Brigg Town Cricket Club's opening game in division four will be on Saturday, May 5 - away to East Halton.
Brigg's first home league game of the season at the Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road, will be on Saturday, May 12 when Scunthorpe Town 3rds provide the opposition (1.30pm start). Spectators welcome.
