BRIGG BLOG HOPES THESE PICTURES FROM THE PAST WILL INSPIRE BARNETBY FOOTBALLERS TO LIFT THE CUP TOMORROW

Barnetby United Football Club will be playing in a showpiece cup final tomorrow (Thursday, March 22).
The club's first teamers have not been having a successful season in division one of the EC Surfacing Scunthorpe & District League and prop up the table.
But that can be put to one side tomorrow when the Railwaymen take on Scunthonians in the final of the Johnstone Insurance Nursing Cup.
The game will be played at Appleby-Frodingham's Brumby Hall ground, off Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, kicking off at 7.30pm.
Appointments for the final are:
Referee: R Hall
Assistant Referees: J Hyke & S Farrow
Fourth  Official: A Farr.
Admission: £3.
Brigg Blog recalls watching Barnetby win a Scunthorpe League trophy a few seasons ago - the final being against Limestone Rangers at Brigg Town FC's Hawthorns ground.
Much beer was consumed later in the clubhouse as the villagers celebrated lifting the cup.

Later, we recall, they went on to the Britannia Inn, on Wrawby Street.
We've dug out some of the pictures we took then and posted them here, hoping they will help inspire Barnetby's current team to victory.
