'SIX-POINTER' COMING UP FOR BRIGG TOWN FC


Brigg Town Football Club have a vital game coming up in Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One
On Saturday, November 11 the Zebras will host Nostell Miners Welfare at the Hawthorns (3pm KO).
Brigg being at the foot of the table and Nostell only two places above them, this is a real six-pointer. The clash should attract another sizeable crowd.
Yesterday (November 4) Brigg lost 5-2 at Emley.
Only a goal down at the interval, the Zebras had to be content with consolation strikes from Cameron Houson (78 mins) and Ryan Thompson (90 mins).
In the  EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League, Briggensians are second and Barnetby United Reserves third in Division Two.
Yesterday, Briggensians won 2-1 at Epworth Town Reserves, the Brigg side's goals coming from Ben Lingard and Stuart Briscoe.
Barnetby Reserves won 3-2 against Crosby Colts Reserves, courtesy of efforts from Will Hartley, Jeffrey Dove and Will Dawson.
On Saturday (November 11) Barnetby United Reserves will host Limestone Rangers Reserves in the first round of the Johnsons Transport Ironstone Cup (1.30pm KO).
In division one, Barnetby United's first teamers visit Crowle Town Colts (2pm).
Barnetby will be seeking their first points of the season after losing the opening three fixtures.
