Here's a selection of pictures taken in Brigg of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain cycle race's North Lincolnshire stage on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
Heavy downpours rained down on local spectators who assembled at various vantage points along the A18, including Ancholme Way, Barnard Avenue, Wrawby Road and at the Monument roundabout - our chosen spot.
The wet weather let up briefly, then more rain came down.
Spectators near the war memorial who braved the bad weather were treated to a fine and unexpected display by police outriders on their motorcycles, who set off, in turn, along Wrawby Road before the riders arrived.
There were only a handful of cyclists in the leading group, then a considerable gap until the majority sped through, accompanied by support vehicles of many kinds representing riders from various countries. There was even an AA patrol van in attendance!
It was a memorable, if brief, spectacle for folk to enjoy - free of charge.
Something like this had not been seen in Brigg since the late 1980s when the Milk Race came along Bridge Street, Wrawby Street and Wrawby Road - before the creation of the inner-relief road via Barnard Avenue.
Another heavy deluge came down not long after the riders and support vehicles had gone by and we were forced to take refuge in the nearby Britannia Inn until it faired up a bit.
Hard work, but someone's got to do it!
The North Lincolnshire stage had been flagged off in the morning by Mr Starter - the Mayor of Lincolnshire, Coun Peter Clark, a former Brigg resident.
Brilliant! I missed it on ITV4, and BBC1 Look North only gave a very brief coverage, so it's great to see all these pics. Many thanks!
