Do you want to save money on your energy bills?
Sign up to our successful collective switching scheme that aims to help you save time and money on your fuel bills by finding you the best deal.
The scheme has been running since August 2013 and has so far saved local households collectively over £100,000 on fuel bills, with average savings of over £250 per household.
Residents who have benefited from the scheme have highlighted the great savings to be made and how simple it is to switch.
The timetable for registering your interest is:
- Launch – 7 August 2017
- Auction – 10 October 2017
- Offers out from – 23 October 2017
- Closure – 28 November 2017 (last date to accept the offer)

The deadline for returning paper forms is Friday 6 October 2017.
Collective switching offers households the opportunity to sign-up to a scheme that allows the council to enter an auction with energy companies on their behalf, to secure a discounted energy price.
The scheme is run in partnership with iChoosr Ltd, the UK’s leading provider of collective switching. Residents have until 9 October to register for the latest round online.
Cllr Richard Hannigan, cabinet member for safer, greener, cleaner places said: “Now in its fifth year, the collective switching scheme is going from strength to strength. People who have switched fuel suppliers have saved on average £250 per household. You could really benefit from this great scheme.
“It is completely free to sign up and we do all the hard work for you - you have no reason not to sign up! Register today and you could save money on your energy bills.”
This sounds a brill idea....the more names of folks wanting to participate, I assume, increased the authorities weight when it comes to collective bartering......
