FOOTBALL FANS PREFER BRIGG TO SCUNTHORPE

Football fans from Barnsley who were going to watch their team's pre-season friendly at Grimsby Town on Saturday used the train service through Brigg rather than the alternative route via Scunthorpe.
Their choice helped to boost passenger numbers on the Brigg line last weekend, rail campaigner Paul Johnson reveals in his latest blog update.
