BRIGG PUB WINS COVETED REAL ALE AWARD

The Campaign for Real Ale has handed an award to one of our Brigg pubs.
The Scunthorpe Branch of CAMRA, whose members take a very keen interest in hostelries across North Lincolnshire, has given its Spring 2017 award for pub of the season to the Yarborough Hunt, on Bridge Street, Brigg.
Happy landlady Lucy Fensome had paid tribute to her "fab staff."
The Yarborough Hunt is Tom Wood's brewery tap. In addition to selling a range of beers produced locally by brewer Tom, the pub also offers a selection of guest ales.
We met a party of golfers there recently who were staying at Forest Pines, Broughton.
They enjoyed the atmosphere and the ales before moving on to try other town hostelries recommended to them by regulars at the Yarborough.
Many other real ale devotees come to Brigg from far and wide to visit our pubs, helping the local economy.
