LITTER-PICKING TEAMS TO TIDY BRIGG STREETS?

During the Annual Brigg Town Public Meeting, long-standing town resident John Colby, pictured, suggested there was a need for litter-picking volunteers to come foward "and perhaps do their own street."
This initiative is already in place in the area where John lives.
Coun Rob Waltham said it was a good idea if residents picked up litter in their own part of town and said North Lincolnshire Council could help with equipment and by collecting bags of rubbish.
Coun Jane Kitching felt that, with 19 members, the Town Council might show the way.
"There are some of us already doing this," she added.
Coun Donald Campbell said they might divide the town into two halves, using the A18.
