BRIGG RUNNERS-UP IN NATIONAL HOCKEY COMPETITION TODAY

Brigg Hockey Club were beaten 3-1 by Southampton in this afternoon's final of the national Hockey Vase, played in London.
The half-time score was 1-0 to the south coast side.
This was the biggest hockey match in the history of the Brigg club, founded in the 1920s.
Finishing runners-up in the national knockout competition is a great achievement.
The men's first team and its officials should feel very proud!

  1. Very well done.
The team"s successes poses the question whether Olympic scouts will be out assessing thd quality of Brigg players.
To get to the final, both collectively and individually the team has proven to be high quality and perhaps offer ruch hunting ground for those in charge of a national team.
Will we see some individual members of the hockey team being selected for national recogbition?
