BRIGG MAN HAS WORKED WITH FAMOUS MUSICIANS, ACTORS, DANCERS & COMEDIANS

A former Brigg man who has worked as a "roadie" alongside some famous people from the world of entertainment will be returning to our area to tell of his experiences.
He is Chris Moore - the son of former Brigg Grammar and Sir John Nelthorpe School chemistry master Jack Moore.
Born in 1966 and educated at Brigg County Primary School, Sir John Nelthorpe, Brigg Sixth Form and Leicester University, Chris will be the guest speaker at the 40th annual dinner of the Briggensians' Association, to be held on Saturday, March 18 at Elsham Golf Club (7pm for 7.30pm).
He  worked with many famous musicians, actors, dancers and comedians as a "roadie" - stage technician - and "became good friends with many of them."
Hopefully, the identities of some of the famous performers will be revealed during his speech, which is bound to generate great interest.
Bookings are now being taken for the dinner - tickets costing £22.50p.
Those wishing to attend should send a cheque for that amount, made payable to the Briggensians' Association, to  Briggensians' Dinner Secretary Rachel Harvey, c/o Sir John Nelthorpe School, WRAWBY ROAD, Brigg, DN20 9DS. Call 01652 65315.

Further details about Chris Moore, pictured, who was a pupil at SJN from 1978 until 1985, appears in the 2017 Newsletter, compiled by David Brittain, retired headteacher.  We seem to recall that, while a pupil, Chris also played for Brigg Men's Hockey Club, as his dad did for many years.
